Zakharova's Advice to Donald Trump

The newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump should correct the mistakes of the previous American administration rather than place Moscow at the negotiation table with Kyiv. This statement was made by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RTVI.

“We need to rectify the criminal mistakes made by American liberal democrats,” she stated. Zakharova reminded that the Russian side has repeatedly expressed its openness to dialogue, but it is Washington that has banned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from participating in negotiations with Russia, a decision that was later enshrined at the legislative level.
