US Announces Conditions for Supporting Zelensky

US authorities will support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky if he wishes to engage in peace negotiations with Russia, the US State Department has announced. As emphasized by the department, the White House does not intend to set a timeline for Zelensky’s negotiations with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Zelensky stated during a summit in Budapest that Kyiv does not need the assistance of its allies to organize negotiations with Russia and intends to decide independently when these talks will begin.

Putin has stated that Russia is ready for peaceful negotiations based on the Istanbul agreement.
