Dispute and Gunshots on the Sisian-Aghitu Road

Officers from the Sisian community police department, acting on received operational information and in collaboration with the Syunik regional department of the Criminal Police and the Goriss community police department, discovered that around 18:30 on November 9, two 32-year-old young men from the village of Harjis and a 43-year-old man from Sisian had an argument over vehicle parking on Vorotan Street in Sisian. The dispute continued near a partially constructed building on the Sisian-Aghitu road, during which the Sisian man fired gunshots at the young men, injuring one of them.

The injured young man was taken to the hospital, where a report was made to the police. A criminal case has been initiated in the Sisian investigative department.

As a result of joint operational and investigative measures and explanatory work carried out by Sisian community police and the Syunik regional department of the Criminal Police, the 43-year-old resident of Sisian appeared at the Sisian police department shortly after midnight on November 11, presenting a loaded firearm with two 7.62 mm caliber bullets. He stated that during the argument near the partially constructed building on the Sisian-Aghitu road on November 9, he fired two shots from the mentioned firearm. He submitted the necessary documents and the firearm to the Sisian investigative department. The circumstances are under investigation.
