Ukrainian Drones Nearly Collide with Passenger Plane in Moscow Sky
Ukrainian drones were close to hitting a passenger aircraft, an Airbus A320, in the skies above Moscow, which was operating a flight from Uzbekistan to Moscow. During the landing phase, the pilot noticed three drones obstructing the flight path and narrowly avoided a collision with one of them. The aircraft successfully landed at Sheremetyevo Airport, after which eight other planes were rerouted to a backup airport.
According to "Rosaviatsiya," restrictions on the acceptance and release of aircraft at Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports have been lifted. Temporary restrictions had been implemented at Moscow's three airports to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft flights.
It was reported that during the restrictions, 36 aircraft landed at alternative airports. Earlier reports indicated that Ukrainian drones had launched a mass attack on Moscow, with more than 35 drones destroyed in the Moscow region. The air defense forces had intercepted 70 Ukrainian drones, 36 of which were reportedly in the Moscow area, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
