Peskov Highlights the Difference Between Trump and Biden
The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, believes that the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump speaks of peace rather than confrontation, which distinguishes him favorably from the current U.S. administration. He made this statement in a comment to journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Peskov noted that "the signals are positive."
“Trump said during his election campaign that he perceives everything through deals, that he can make agreements that will lead everyone to peace. He does not speak of a desire to inflict strategic defeat on Russia, and this sets him apart from the current U.S. administration,” said the Kremlin spokesperson.
Regarding discussions on whether Trump will be able to build relations with the Russian Federation during his second presidential term, Peskov remarked that it is best to leave that question to political analysts.
“We can only watch what will happen. We can follow the program to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves,” he added.
