Specialists from Azerbaijan and Armenia Collaborate, Says U.S. Ambassador

A group of hydrologists and engineers from Azerbaijan and Armenia is working together, with support from the United States, to create an integrated management scheme for the water resources of the region's boundary rivers. This was announced by U.S. Ambassador Mark Libby in Baku.

The ambassador did not provide further details regarding the project.

There are eight transboundary rivers flowing from Armenia to Azerbaijan, including the Araks, Debed, Akhuryan, Ardzhis, and Vorotan rivers. Smaller rivers include the Arpa River, which flows into Nakhchivan, and two seasonal rivers in the Tavush region.
