«Citizens Who Have the Image of Mount Ararat in Their Homes Will Face Problems»: Rustamyan

Member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction, Armen Rustamyan, addressed the government's principle that all decisions should be based on the "interests of the real citizen of Armenia." Rustamyan deemed this phrasing divisive.

“Until now, we knew that the government was supposed to protect the interests of all citizens of Armenia as per the constitution. It turns out that a new category might emerge—'the real citizen of Armenia.' The obvious question arises: who will be considered the real citizen of Armenia by the government?” he said.

According to Rustamyan, people need to understand how they can attain the status of "real citizen of Armenia" in order to benefit from government programs and decisions.

He concluded by stating, “Citizens who have the image of Mount Ararat in their homes will face problems because that mountain must, of course, quickly be replaced at least with Mount Aragats.”
