Georgia's CEC Rejects Complaints of Election Violations

After an eight-hour discussion, the Central Election Commission of Georgia did not uphold complaints regarding violations of voting confidentiality. This was reported by Sputnik Georgia.

The complaints were submitted by the Georgian Young Lawyers Association, the United National Movement, and the Strong Georgia coalition. They demanded the annulment of the parliamentary election results.

As stated by the head of the CEC's legal department, Giorgi Santuriani, no new circumstances were revealed in the submitted materials or during the meeting that would add any argument to the position expressed by the authors of the complaint.
