There is a Very Important Link Without Which Such Developments Would Not Occur: Zakharova

The Western monstrous propaganda has blocked the opportunity for society and political figures to obtain truthful information about the events taking place around Ukraine and to make correct decisions, leading to the conflict. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

“There is another very important link, without which the escalation of events (between Russia and Ukraine) would not have taken place. This is the Western monstrous propaganda. It has blocked the Western public's ability to obtain truthful information from the first source. It has hindered the opportunity for political figures in the West to make correct decisions. It has blocked not only the West but the entire global community's opportunity to understand what is happening around Ukraine,” Zakharova stated.

As noted by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is not the first time this has happened. “A similar situation occurred 85 years ago. At that time, it was due to Nazi propaganda that Europe and subsequently the whole world were drawn into a world war. What has happened now was unleashed primarily through the tools of Western propaganda, which initially triggered a bloody conflict in Ukraine. Everything was heading towards the world being drawn into this situation altogether: through various means - the policy of sanctions, destabilization of food security, and the destruction of stable energy flows and energy cooperation,” Zakharova added.
