There Are Certain Risks: Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Statement

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has issued a statement noting that there is progress in the negotiations regarding a peace treaty with Armenia, but added that there are "certain challenges and risks" for the successful completion of peaceful negotiations.

“Currently, significant progress has been recorded in the bilateral negotiations initiated by Azerbaijan with Armenia. However, despite the progress in negotiations, challenges and risks remain for the successful conclusion of peaceful talks,” the statement says.

Among the risks and challenges mentioned by the Foreign Ministry are "the militarization of Armenia and the territorial claims maintained in the Constitution against Azerbaijan."
