The Next 20 Years Will Be More Difficult for Humanity, Says Putin

In the next twenty years, humanity will face more challenges due to the dynamics of international processes, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during a speech at the plenary session of the 21st annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club. This was reported by RBC.

“The modern world is unpredictable, this is unequivocal... If you look back 20 years and assess the scale of changes, you can project those changes into the coming years and assume that the next twenty years will be no less, if not more complex,” he stated.

How difficult this period will be depends on numerous factors, according to the Russian president. “Experts talk about the threats of new regional conflicts, global pandemics, the complex and ambiguous ethical aspects of the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence, as well as the integration of traditions and progress,” he noted.

According to Putin, a new world order is currently taking shape on the planet, with the old way of life, constructed by the West, becoming a thing of the past. He believes that Russians have the privilege of living in an era of fundamental changes and being participants in the most complex processes.
