Mobile Phone and Wi-Fi Device Hidden in Bread
Correctional service employees have prevented yet another case of the illegal circulation of narcotics and prohibited items by inmates. Inmates involved in technical and economic service work at the RA Ministry of Justice's 'Armavir' penitentiary were subject to searches prior to the distribution of food, in accordance with established procedures.
During the search of one inmate, security personnel discovered a mobile phone and a Wi-Fi device hidden inside loaves of bread meant for food distribution. Simultaneously, they noticed that another inmate had thrown a cigarette box on the floor before the search. Upon inspection, it was revealed that the box contained a greenish, plant-like substance resembling a narcotic, weighing 0.50 grams.
The discovered substance has been forwarded to the Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee in the Armavir region for further examination.
