US May Lift Sanctions Against Russia During Trump's Presidency
When Donald Trump assumes office, the US may lift some of the sanctions against Russia, stated Boris Titov, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international economic relations.
“Trump is a businessman, which means his main competitor is economic adversary China. He will compete with China in any form. Hence, Russia is not the 'main enemy.' Trump’s interest lies in pulling Russia towards him from China’s side, at least bringing it to a neutral status. And, most likely, the US will begin to lift sanctions, primarily economic sanctions,” Titov said in an interview with TASS.
