Football is Played Differently in Armenia Says Chelsea's Head Coach

Enzo Maresca, the head coach of Chelsea, stated before the match against Noah in the Conference League that he has heard about the Armenian team and has watched various games over the last 2-3 days.

“The team comes from a country where football is played differently, so we do not know how they will act against us. We are trying to be prepared. In today’s football, you can find good players, teams, and coaches everywhere. They do not necessarily have to be only in the major leagues of Europe but also in countries of this level. Undoubtedly, the opponent also has good footballers,” said Maresca.

The Italian coach added that the confrontation is going to be somewhat challenging. According to him, participating in the Conference League is more difficult because everyone strives to win against them.

In the Chelsea-Noah match, the English club is considered the favorite. Moreover, many specialists believe that next May, the trophy will be held above the heads of Chelsea players.

“If we play in the final, then we will probably win. But for me, the most important thing right now is the group stage because you cannot think about the final at this moment. We must win every game, get out of the group, and move forward,” Maresca added.
