Voting Interrupted in Georgia Due to Threats

Voting in Georgia, USA has been interrupted due to a bomb threat. The presidential election voting in Fulton County, which has been at the center of legal proceedings since the 2020 elections, was halted due to threats, according to CNN citing local authorities.

Nadine Williams, the county's director of registrations and elections, stated that officials received five reports of a bomb threat, leading to the temporary evacuation of two polling places for about 30 minutes. "Fortunately, those polling locations are now operational and the areas are being monitored by security personnel," Williams noted. She added that the threats did not seem credible.

The county leadership is doing everything possible to reopen the polling places that were closed late on Tuesday evening.
