Russia and Iran to Sign Agreement, Lavrov Says

A newly updated partnership agreement will be signed soon between Russia and Iran, with significant focus on defense issues. This was announced by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by Armenpress.

“The main factor in strengthening Russian-Iranian relations will be the agreement on comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran. The agreement is being prepared for signing in the near future. It will affirm the parties' aspirations towards closer cooperation in the field of defense and collaboration for the sake of peace and security at the regional and global levels,” he stated while speaking at the International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk.
