VIDEO: 'There is a Risk That Strikes May Resume at the Syunik Border' - French Ambassador to Armenia

The French Ambassador to Armenia, Olivier Décotignie, has documented the occupation of Armenia's sovereign territory by Azerbaijan in the region of Syunik, specifically in the area of Nerkin Hand. In a press briefing with journalists in Goris, the ambassador shared his impressions from his visit to Nerkin Hand.

Décotignie emphasized that a portion of the Nerkin Hand community is occupied by Azerbaijan. “This situation creates significant difficulties for the residents. They have a sense of danger, and that danger is real, as strikes may start again. There are problems related to everyday life; people even have issues with water, and there are human dramas here, as people cannot visit the graves of their relatives,” the ambassador stated.

When asked if he notes that Azerbaijan has invaded Armenia’s sovereign territory from four sides in that area, the ambassador replied, “Three sides, because from one side we have managed to go there.”
