VIDEO: Kocharyan on Removal from Head of Parliamentary Committee

Andranik Kocharyan is not aware of the information circulating in the media that there are plans to remove him from the position of head of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee. He stated this during a conversation with journalists.

Earlier, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported that the initiative for Kocharyan's removal comes from his own party members, but this issue still needs to be discussed with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

In response to a reporter's clarifying question about whether some representatives of the pro-government elite are dissatisfied with Kocharyan's behavior, the deputy replied with a question: “Are you satisfied yourself?”

“I do not have such information,” Kocharyan said while commenting on whether a discussion of the deputy's conduct is planned at the CP session. However, he added that he is not opposed to discussing it if necessary.

He accused “Azatutyun” of spreading false information.

The head of the “Civil Contract” faction in the National Assembly, Haik Konjoryan, also denied the information about removing Andranik Kocharyan from the position of committee head during a conversation with journalists.
