The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kaka Kaladze, has announced that according to preliminary information from polling stations, the ruling "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" party is set to secure a guaranteed majority in the parliamentary elections. This information was reported by Georgian media, citing the statements of the ruling party's Secretary General during a press briefing.
"According to the initial information we are receiving from the local election headquarters, 'Georgian Dream' has already secured a reliable majority in the Parliament of Georgia," Kaladze stated.
Despite this, the politician urged the country's residents to be more active to ensure that "Georgian Dream" achieves a constitutional majority in Parliament.
According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission of Georgia, as of 15:00 local time, voter participation in the elections stood at 41.62 percent.
