Fire Breaks Out at Yerevan Hydroelectric Power Plant, Administrative Districts Left Without Power

A fire has broken out at the Yerevan Hydroelectric Power Plant. The Central and Arabkir administrative districts are currently without power. We have cut off electricity to prevent the spread of the fire, confirmed a representative from the power plant in a conversation with Auroranews.

The power will be restored within half an hour, as the fire is small. A specialized team has already been dispatched to the scene.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Auroranews that an alert was received about the situation in the Hrazdan gorge, specifically in the area of the 'Yerevan' HPP, where cables are burning. An appropriate response is being organized.

Two three-phase power cables, each measuring 20 cm, have burned, and the local forces have managed to extinguish the fire.
