Do You Not Worry That Azerbaijan Will Not Implement This Regulation? A Question to the Deputy Prime Minister
The process of ratifying the regulations of the delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan is proceeding synchronously. This was stated today by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.
“I just don’t know at which stage this process is in Azerbaijan, but at the moment of signing, the logic of signing implies that it should be synchronous,” he said.
When asked if he had concerns that Azerbaijan would not implement these regulations, he replied, “I do not have such concerns. I do not think they will delay.”
Addressing the discontinuation of the trilateral commission meetings on unblocking issues, the deputy prime minister said, “There are fundamental issues that require consensus. Until that consensus is reached, it makes no sense to continue discussions on the details.”
Today, on October 21, the question of ratifying the joint activity regulations of the commission for the delimitation of the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the state commission for the delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been initiated in the permanent committee on foreign relations of the National Assembly.
It is noteworthy that the Government has approved these regulations, and the Constitutional Court has deemed them not contradictory to the Constitution, emphasizing that the Declaration of Independence of Armenia is not part of the Constitution, although there is reference to the Declaration of Independence in the Constitution.
