Bill Gates Compares Threat of Artificial Intelligence to Nuclear Weapons

The threat posed by artificial intelligence is comparable to the dangers of nuclear and biological weapons, said billionaire and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

According to the British Daily Mirror, Gates remarked, "We have made great progress, but alongside that, there are nuclear weapons, terrorism involving biological weapons, and artificial intelligence," considering all these threats to be of equal significance.

"The pace of development in artificial intelligence is, in my opinion, astonishing but also a bit frightening," Gates continued.

At the same time, he noted that artificial intelligence can also be utilized for good purposes, including making education and medical services more accessible.
