Peace Is Impossible While Killings Continue: Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that peace in the Middle East is unattainable as long as Israel continues its genocide in the Gaza Strip. Following negotiations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Istanbul, he expressed support for increasing pressure on Israel for a swift resolution to the conflict.

"The genocide perpetrated by Israel in Gaza and the Palestinian territories, as well as the terrorism that occurred in Lebanon, were important topics of our discussion. The human tragedy in the region continues. We must do everything possible to ensure a permanent ceasefire and exert necessary pressure on Israel. Peace is impossible while mass killings continue," Erdoğan said.

He pointed out that more than 50,000 people have been killed during the massacre, with over 100,000 injured, adding that Israel is using F-35 fighter jets for attacks. He also claimed that Israel is developing plans to expand the conflict. "It is clear that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering ideas about the expansion of war," Erdoğan stated.
