Active Cyclone Penetrates: Upcoming Weather Forecast

Due to the penetration of an active cyclone from the west, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in most regions of the republic on the evening of October 16 and throughout October 17, as well as the night of the 17th to the 18th. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

As a result of the heavy precipitation, a significant increase in water levels in most of the republic's rivers is anticipated on October 17-18.

The air temperature across the republic is expected to gradually decrease by about 6-9 degrees from October 17-19.

The wind will be northwesterly, with speeds of 2-5 m/s, and during thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach 16-20 m/s.

In Yerevan, from October 16-18, occasional rain and thunderstorms are anticipated. Heavy rain is forecasted for the late evening of the 16th, during the 17th, and at night on the 18th. Brief rain is expected during the day on October 19 and 20.

Wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are also expected during thunderstorms. The temperature in the capital will be 19-21 degrees during the day on October 16, while evening temperatures will drop to +15...+17 degrees.
