Azerbaijan Responds to Pashinyan

The statement by the Prime Minister of Armenia regarding the opening of communications, referencing the trilateral declaration, once again highlights the neglect of the commitments undertaken by Armenia's leadership. This was stated by Ayhan Haji-zade, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in comments related to the Prime Minister's speech at the "Peace Crossroads: Unity of Security and Democracy" conference today.

"During his speech at the forum on October 12, the Prime Minister of Armenia's statements regarding the trilateral declaration are an attempt to distort reality," noted Ayhan Haji-zade.

"The Prime Minister's statement regarding the opening of communications once again shows the disregard for point 9 of the trilateral declaration, which dictates how transportation links will be monitored. It is explicitly stated in point 9 of the trilateral declaration what obligations Armenia has concerning the opening of communications and how control over transportation links will be organized.

In general, if we talk about the violations of other obligations stemming from the trilateral declaration, it should be noted that Armenia has not withdrawn its illegal armed formations from the Nagorno-Karabakh region as of 2023. No one has forgotten that the Armenian side verbally recognized Azerbaijan's territorial integrity while conducting propaganda for the unlawful regime within Azerbaijan's territory, and that the Prime Minister sent congratulations regarding the so-called 'independence' on September 2, 2023," the statement said.
