Why the Commander of the 5th Corps Was Dismissed: ‘Joghavor’

The recent dismissal of Sassoun Badassian from his position as the commander of the 5th Corps was due to an attempt to improve the assessment of a close serviceman during the certification exams. This was reported by the ‘Joghavor’ daily, citing its sources.

“The information reached the Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan, who decided to punish the corps commander for undermining the integrity of the sponsorship and certification process,” the report states.

Our source also mentioned that in other circles, a different reason related to attending the academy was cited for Sassoun Badassian’s dismissal, but the actual reason was based on the information we obtained.
