Robert Kocharian Speaks About Bishop Bagrat

There are no charges, there is no article; this case has been thrown at the first court it encountered. This was stated by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, during a conversation with journalists after the court session regarding the case against him.

According to him, there is simply no legal solution to this situation. He added, "Hrant Tovmasyan was not allowed to participate in the voting of this case because he has connections with my lawyer Aram Orbelyan, whereas one of the judges is the brother of Sasun Khachatryan, which does not hinder the process."

Kocharian claimed that if the judge has enough courage, he would simply dismiss the case.

Robert Kocharian also addressed the statement made by Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan that the shadow of former presidents hinders Bagrat the Bishop. He pointed out, "No one’s shadow can hinder Bagrat the Bishop. An innate leader cannot be hindered by any shadow; a great person has a great shadow, while a small person has a small shadow."

"There has been no financial support for the Sacred Movement. Our support has been the assessment of the 'Armenia' alliance and the faction. Aside from that, there has been no other support. The Bishop did not even apply for such assistance," Kocharian stated.
