The senior Republican official expressed that Donald Trump's victory in the elections may lead to an end to the war. 'If President Trump wins, I believe he can genuinely end this conflict. I think he would call Putin and say, enough is enough,' Johnson said.

In his view, if Kamala Harris triumphs in the elections, the conflict may drag on, which Johnson described as a 'desperate and dangerous scenario.'
