Employee of Uralvagonzavod Sent Sensitive Military Information to Ukraine

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court in Russia has sentenced Victoria Mukhametova, a former operator at Uralvagonzavod (UVZ), to 12 years and 6 months in a general regime colony for treason. This was reported by Kommersant.ru.

According to investigators from the FSB, she and her husband, former UVZ engineer Danil Mukhametov, transferred military technical blueprints to Ukrainian special services for a sum of 100,000 rubles. The information could have been used against the Russian military during special operations.

During interrogation, the couple admitted that they planned to use the obtained money to simply “live.”

Victoria and Danil Mukhametov were arrested in late March 2023.
