The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, is holding talks with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in the Kremlin. During the meeting, Putin stated that the trade and economic relations between Russia and Armenia are developing very well.

According to Putin, Russia is the leading investor in Armenia, with investments amounting to around $4 billion. Pashinyan noted that there has been very active political dialogue in recent months.

“Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk came to Yerevan. In early October, the EAEU Intergovernmental Council met in Yerevan, during which we discussed the issues of our partnership in detail,” Pashinyan said during the meeting with Putin.

Putin proposed to Pashinyan to hold another bilateral meeting at the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan. “I look forward to seeing you at the BRICS summit in Kazan. I hope it will be useful and interesting. We will have a bilateral meeting and the opportunity to talk with several dozen partners from different countries who plan to participate in these activities,” the President of Russia said during his meeting with the Armenian Prime Minister in the Kremlin.

The meeting takes place within the framework of the CIS summit, with the main topic of negotiations being the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan. Earlier today, Putin also had a separate meeting with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
