Let them try, we are waiting for them: Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, commented on calls from certain Ukrainian political figures to "come to the republic," stating that the country is waiting for them. The interview with the Belarusian leader was published on journalist Pavel Zarubin's Telegram channel.
“Let them try. We are waiting for them,” he declared, adding that if someone is "buttering up," those are the individuals who do not make any decisions. Lukashenko also stated that Minsk maintains ties with Ukraine, and this helps Russia exchange prisoners.
On October 4, Lukashenko announced that Belarus is ready to assist Ukraine in the country’s recovery process. The Belarusian leader pointed out that at this moment, Vladimir Zelensky does not understand who can assist in Ukraine's recovery, believing that the United States could help with this. However, as Lukashenko noted, Washington is not willing to do so.
