How Many Illegal Workers Were Detected in Moscow?
Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs officials have discovered more than 160 foreign nationals illegally working in a warehouse located in the village of Grivno, Moscow region. All violators were fined and subsequently expelled from Russia.
This information was reported by Tatiana Petrova, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region.
According to her, the offenders were identified during the operational and preventive operation titled "Illegal Migrant-2024." "Administrative reports have been drawn up for 161 migrants for engaging in illegal labor activities on the territory of the Russian Federation. Of these, 69 were held administratively responsible for violating residence regulations while staying in the country. Each violator was fined 5000 rubles, with further expulsion from Russia," Petrova stated.
During the raid, police checked 250 foreign nationals. The press service chief added that additional measures are currently being taken to identify the employers and hold them accountable.
