Is It Possible to Be That Ungrateful? – Aliyev

In 1992, when we were losing lands, America imposed sanctions against us. Then, in 2001, those sanctions were lifted. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Explaining the reasons, he remarked: "Because their occupation activities in Afghanistan began, a predatory war started, and we needed them. As long as they remained in Afghanistan, those sanctions were lifted every year by the President of the United States. As soon as they fled from Afghanistan, right before the eyes of the whole world, sanctions against us were reimposed. Is it possible to be that ungrateful?"
