Telegram User Demands Money by Sharing Altered Photos of Woman

V. Atoyan has been charged with committing extortion by using a method of blackmail. He previously downloaded a personal photo of S. Hovhannisyan from the Telegram mobile application and altered it using computer software, transforming it to appear nude.

According to ArmLur, on June 1, 2024, at approximately 21:54, he sent the digitally altered photo to S. Hovhannisyan from his personal Telegram account. He threatened to publish the photo unless she transferred 250,000 AMD to his specified electronic wallet, claiming he would share the photo among her coworkers and fellow citizens.
