VIDEO: Pashinyan Describes Relations with Iran in One Word
Participating in discussions within the "3+3" format was the right decision. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, responding to the remarks of Shirak Torosyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction, who noted that foreign policy is not complementary, is one-sided, and harms our national interests.
"I have stated myself that the foreign policy of Armenia is not complementary, but rather a balanced policy," he emphasized. According to him, despite all this, the regional dimension of our foreign policy should also be considered.
"In this regard, when the question of our participation in the '3+3' format was being decided, and we decided that we should participate, that decision was seriously criticized. Now I can confidently say that participating in discussions within that format was a very correct decision, and it emphasizes our foreign policy's regional dimension," he declared.
As for relations with Iran, Pashinyan described them in one word: natural. "These relations are not a result and consequence of a political decision," he noted. Additionally, according to the Prime Minister, the actions of the Armenian authorities are directed towards the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey.
