Andranik Kocharyan Continues to Plot

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "Thanks to the efforts of the Civil Contract parliamentary group, the series of resignations at the Ministry of Justice continues. Yesterday, on October 1, Armenia's Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan resigned. On September 26, the Deputy Minister of Justice, Sirvard Gevorgyan, who is closely associated with the second president, also resigned.

Judging by the situation, the next official expected to resign due to the efforts of the CP will be Ambakum Grigoryan, the head of the penitentiary service within the Ministry of Justice. On March 26, during a session in the National Assembly, CP MP Andranik Kocharyan told the already resigned Minister Grigor Minasyan: "When our colleague Sergey Atomyan was appointed as the director of the penitentiary service, we thought we were starting a large-scale reform process. However, when Ambakum Grigoryan was appointed as an advisor, I was greatly surprised because, as a member of the fact-finding group, I knew very well what activities the investigative group had conducted regarding the 'March 1' cases, and the investigator, who had been one of Vahagn Harutyunyan's most important investigators, transitioned from advisor to deputy and eventually to head of the service. Moreover, the head of the investigative group, Vahagn Harutyunyan, is still hiding outside Armenia. Now, are we closing the chapter on 'March 1' or is it still open? If it remains open, then all investigators involved in these cases should be thoroughly examined before any appointments are made."

It is not excluded that Ambakum Grigoryan may be the next to resign at the behest of Andranik Kocharyan, as we have reported, it was Andranik Kocharyan who instructed Arpi Davoyan to initiate the signature collection for Grigor Minasyan's resignation within the parliamentary group, which he and his girlfriend Lusine Badalyan started. As a result, Grigor Minasyan submitted his resignation voluntarily yesterday, without waiting for the process to unfold."
