These are merely distortions of reality: Nikol Pashinyan

The Armenian authorities fully guarantee the free and secure movement of people, vehicles, and goods throughout its territory. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during an expanded session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

In the context of developing transport infrastructure, Pashinyan reiterated the Armenian government's initiative of the "Peace Intersection" program. "All claims that Armenia supposedly agreed in some document that third countries must ensure the security of its infrastructural facilities are merely distortions of reality. I also want to add that similar distortions are the claims suggesting that Armenia has agreed to certain limitations on its sovereignty regarding its infrastructure," he noted.

Pashinyan also addressed the creation of a unified system for energy carriers during the session, stating that its delay significantly hinders the development of member countries' economies, which could be developing at a much faster pace than they currently are.

He further emphasized that the Armenian side prioritizes negotiations on free trade agreements with third countries, aimed at mutually beneficial cooperation. In this context, he mentioned that a program for joint measures for 2024-2026 is planned to be signed between the EAEU and Uzbekistan during this session, which will contribute to the development of trade turnover and economic cooperation.
