This Could Increase the Possibility of War in the Region: Iranian Foreign Ministry

Iran advocates for a stable and secure Middle East; however, this does not mean that Tehran fears war. This statement was made by Nasir Kanani, the official representative of the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry.

“Iran has repeatedly tried to warn the international community that the continuation of the Zionist (Israeli) war against Gaza could lead to escalation in the region and increase the likelihood of war,” Kanani emphasized. “This does not mean that Iran fears war. We do not wish for it; we are trying to strengthen security and stability in the region,” he noted during a statement broadcasted by CNN.
