These Consequences Cannot Leave Us Indifferent: Peskov

Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon will inevitably lead to a humanitarian disaster, raising serious concerns in Moscow. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

“Indiscriminate bombing of residential areas in Lebanon is resulting in a huge number of human casualties. It will inevitably lead to a humanitarian disaster, as we are witnessing in Gaza. These consequences cannot leave us indifferent and cannot fail to cause our deep concern,” he told reporters.

Since last week, the Israeli Air Force has been carrying out massive strikes on targets belonging to the Shiite movement Hezbollah in various regions of Lebanon. Several targeted airstrikes have also been reported towards Beirut, resulting in the deaths of high-ranking Hezbollah commanders, including the group's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah.
