I Have Nothing, So Take My Pain. Samvel Aleksanyan Interrogated

According to reports from "Hraparak", the interrogation of witnesses in the case against the former head of the Armenian Investigative Committee, Agvan Hovsepyan, is ongoing. Businessman and former MP Samvel Aleksanyan is also being questioned in relation to the case.

Hovsepyan is accused of having demanded and received a large bribe on February 14, 2011, in favor of Varsham Gharibyan under the pretext of patronage. Subsequently, he is alleged to have legalized property obtained through criminal means.

Additionally, on April 10, 2017, Agvan Hovsepyan is said to have persuaded Vrej Markosyan, with whom he had close personal ties, to waste the particularly large property belonging to Varsham Gharibyan.

Recently in court, it was reported to Samvel Aleksanyan that during one of the hearings, Agvan Hovsepyan claimed that Aleksanyan held a 30% stake in one of the television companies. "I have nothing, who should I give gifts to? I have nothing, so take my pain," said Samvel Aleksanyan, refuting Hovsepyan's claims.

"Take my pain, I have neither had anything nor done anything. If that were the case, they would have gifted the airport to someone too," Aleksanyan added.
