The head of the opposition 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, Seyran Ohanyan, is not planning to boycott the consecration ceremony of the Mother Cathedral, scheduled for Sunday at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, because Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will also be present there. He stated this in a conversation with reporters at the Yerablur military pantheon.

"Why shouldn't I fulfill my duty as a Christian Armenian, let them not come," he remarked.

Prior to this, fellow faction member and one of the leaders of the 'Holy Movement,' Garnik Danielyan, announced his decision not to visit Etchmiadzin, stating that he does not find it acceptable to be in the same place with people who have fought against the Armenian Apostolic Church since the very first day of their coming to power.
