Video: Set Fire to 3 Cars and Gave a Confession
On September 24, shortly after midnight, a call was received at the 911 service of the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding a fire. A car was burning on Vratsakan Street in the capital. This was reported by the police.
The call was immediately forwarded to the firefighting and rescue squads, as well as to the operational management center of the police.
By 1:17 AM, a 45-year-old woman who contacted the police’s operational management center reported that moments earlier, an unknown individual had set fire to her parked Hyundai, as well as the neighboring Opel and BMW cars in the yard of one of the buildings on Komitas Avenue.
Shortly after, police officers from Arabkir arrived at the scene. According to the victim, she suffered damage amounting to 6 million drams.
Documents were prepared and transferred to the investigative department, where a criminal case was initiated. The operational-investigative measures yielded quick results.
On September 26, at 14:28, a 23-year-old man was arrested on Adontzi Street in the capital on suspicion of deliberately damaging property and was taken to the police station. The suspect confessed that he was the arsonist.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
