Romanos Petrosyan Targeted by Two Influential Members of the CPP
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Romanos Petrosyan, the head of the State Control Service, has come under the scrutiny of two influential members of the ruling Civil Contract Party (CPP). It is no secret that he and Sasun Mikayelyan are rivals, and their conflict over exerting control over Kotayk has entered a phase of confrontation. However, it is said that Romanos has also fallen into the sights of the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Araik Harutyunyan, who aspires to become a gray cardinal and is persistently working to push Romanos out of his position.
In the role of head of the State Control Service, he wants to see his own person in charge. But within the CPP, there are thoughts that Romanos Petrosyan will be dismissed in the near future, unless our publication prevents this dismissal. According to CPP sources, one of Nikol Pashinyan's obsessions is to disregard what is written in the press, and after any leaks, he pulls away from decisions that were already planned. Even some of his smarter associates have understood this, and they are doing everything possible to publicize news about their own potential dismissals to prevent their removal, in hopes that Pashinyan, contrary to the media, will postpone their job terminations. In such positions, every extra day means income ranging from several hundred thousand to several million drams."
