VIDEO: The Church Did Not Even Support Bishop Bagrat, Says Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan

“The Church did not even support Bishop Bagrat to leave him alone,” said Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, during the Aysor.am show ‘There Are Questions’ in response to the notion that the Church has abandoned Bishop Bagrat.

The Shirak Diocesan leader noted that there is no issue of leaving someone alone; the Church does not engage in political processes to change power or to remove individuals.

“It does not want to get involved in such processes. Bishop Bagrat had an issue on the Tavush level, which he expressed directly, and that later evolved into this Holy struggle,” emphasized Archbishop Mikael.
