Powerful Magnetic Storms Expected: Experts' Recommendations
Solar activity remains at a high level, and thus powerful magnetic storms are expected to continue. This was reported by experts. The upcoming week is unlikely to be easy, as the peak of geomagnetic activity is expected to occur on Thursday. Individuals whose well-being is affected by weather conditions may experience difficulties.
According to Anatoly Petrovich, director of the Institute of Space Research at the Russian Academy of Sciences, last week was characterized by quite significant solar activity, usually followed by disturbances in the Earth’s magnetosphere. It takes solar plasma some time to reach our planet. Predictions indicate that this will occur next Thursday.
“After solar flares, some of our predictions were realized, and we observed two relatively large magnetic storms. We hope that the situation will be calmer next week than this week, as our star's activity decreases,” the expert stated. He also added that not every flare leads to magnetic storms. Hence, there remains a possibility (though it is very low) that there will be no abnormal geomagnetic activity on Thursday.
Moreover, it should be noted that the decrease in solar activity over the past week does not imply the end of magnetic storms in the near future. The Sun is going through its regular cycle, and the high activity of the star is related to this. However, experts predict that the main activity is expected to begin only in 2025. In fact, everything we are experiencing today is an anomaly that was not included in experts' calculations. This means that many more magnetic storms could be on the horizon, which are currently impossible to predict.
For individuals whose well-being is influenced by weather conditions, poor health is likely to remain a consistent companion for an extended period. However, there are options to significantly reduce the negative impact of magnetic storms on the body. It is advisable to decrease alcohol consumption, adjust your diet slightly, engage in moderate exercise, and drink plenty of fluids.
