Food Establishment Closed in Yerevan: What Was Found in the Shawarma?
Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia conducted a check in a public catering establishment owned by Areg Martirosyan (Yerevan, Erebuni St.), during which they took samples of various food products and sent them for laboratory testing. This was reported by the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia.
According to the results of the laboratory examination, the product labeled "Shawarma with Chicken Meats" was found to contain unsafe levels of S. Aureus, and pathogenic organisms, including Salmonella. Similarly, the product labeled "White Sauce" showed high levels of pathogenic organisms, including Salmonella. The raw material for "Lahmajoun" and the "Tomato Sauce" also did not meet regulatory requirements as they were found to contain unsafe levels of pathogenic bacteria.
As a result of these findings, the production activities of the public catering establishment have been suspended by the decision of the head of the Food Safety Inspection Body.
