Shooting Near US Club Leaves Four Dead and Dozens Injured
In Birmingham, Alabama, a shooting has resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left at least two dozen others injured. Local AL portal reports the incident, citing police representatives.
“The shooting occurred in Birmingham’s Five Points South entertainment district, resulting in four fatalities and at least 21 injured,” the publication states.
According to local police representative Truman Fitzgerald, three people died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries at a hospital. The injured have been hospitalized.
Reports indicate that the gunfire erupted as club attendees were waiting in line. As of now, no arrests have been made.
CNN, referencing the police department, reports that the mass shooting took place in a busy area of the city. Initial information suggests that multiple armed individuals fired numerous shots into a crowd near one of the bars.
Of the 21 injured, four individuals are in critical condition. No suspects have been apprehended as of yet.
