What Migrants Cannot Do in Russia
Currently, a registry of foreigners who are illegally present in Russia is being created. This was announced during an interview with the Russian newspaper "Kommersant" by Alexander Gorovoy, the first deputy minister of internal affairs of Russia.
According to him, once included in the registry, illegal migrants will not be able to drive vehicles, use banking services, register property, get married or divorced, or complete the necessary paperwork for sending children to kindergartens or schools.
The issue, according to the Russian high-ranking official, lies in the creation of an inter-agency electronic interaction platform between the agencies providing these services. Gorovoy also stated that they expect the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia to assist the competent technical services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in this matter.
