Turkey has become a graveyard for workers, says opposition MP
Fulustan Kılıç Koçyiğit, the acting leader of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party faction, addressed the dire situation in Turkey's labor market. "On one hand, workers are laboring under the worst conditions and are striking against it, while on the other hand, this Turkey has become a graveyard for workers," he stated during a meeting with journalists.
Koçyiğit also noted that in August alone, 129 people died while on the job, and over the past eight months, that number has reached 201.
