I Believe We Have a Historic Opportunity to Close the Chapter of Conflict in the South Caucasus: Pashinyan
The Prime Ministers of Armenia and Georgia, Nikol Pashinyan and Irakli Kobakhidze, have made statements regarding the regional situation. "Armenia and Azerbaijan have managed to agree on about 80 percent of the peace treaty. We have offered Azerbaijan to sign the provisions that are currently agreed upon in the draft document in the near future, establish diplomatic relations, and continue discussions," said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He noted that there is indeed a historic opportunity to close the chapter of conflict in the South Caucasus and establish lasting peace in the region. "I am convinced that the beneficiaries of peace will not only be Armenia and Azerbaijan but also Georgia, Turkey, and Iran will all equally benefit from it," emphasized Nikol Pashinyan.
